I'm not a perfect girl.
My hair doesn't always stay in place&
I spill things a lot. I'm pretty clumsy &
sometimes I have a broken heart.
My friends and I sometimes fight &
maybe some days nothing goes right.
But when I think about it & take a step back,
I remember how amazing life truly is
& that maybe, just maybe....
I like being UNPERFECT.
I've build walls.
So thick and high up, not to block anyone out.
But to see who LOVES me & CARES for me
enough to CLIMB over it or BREAK them down.
I finally learned what life is about.....
Hanging on when your hearts had enough.....
And giving MORE when you wanna give up.
As we grow up, we learn that even the one person that
wasn't supposed to let us down probably will. You'll have
your heart broken, probably more than once, and it's harder every
time. You'll break hearts too, so remember how it felt when
someone broke yours. You'll fight with your bestfriend and
maybe even fall in love with them. You'll blame a new love
for things an old one did. You'll cry because time
is passing too fast and you'll eventually lose
someone close to you. So take too many pictures,
laugh too much, and love like you've never been hurt
because every 60 seconds you spend angry or upset is a
minute of HAPPINESS you'll never get back.
Finish each day and be done with it. You have done
what you could. Some blunders & absurdities crept in;
forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a
new day. You shall begin it serenely and with too high
a spirit to be encumbered with your old NONSENSE.
Here's to the guys that love me,
the losers that lost me,
and the lucky bastards who will
still get to meet me;
A wise girl kisses, but doesn't love,
Listens but doesn't believe,
And leaves before she is left.
